St John's and St Peter's Church work alongside those in the parish of Ladywood and Springhill. Our aim is to work in partnership with the local community and churches.

After School Club


Krunch is a weekly after school club for children age 8-11. Krunch is fun and exciting, full of activities, arts and crafts, games, stories, drama, prizes and much more. Krunch is designed to be interactive and enjoyable, with a clear emphasis on morals, Christian values and teachings

Krunch club operates out of the Ladywood Methodist Hall 

(across the road from St John’s & St Peter’s Academy on St Vincent Street West, B16 8RW) 

Every Tuesday 3:30pm-5:00pm.  The club is open to all children aged 8-11 and is free.



Joint Youth Club: is a monthly youth group for those in secondary school. JYC sessions include a fun mix of activities, sports, social time, interactive talks, discussion etc. All designed to build up young people and to relevantly explore the difference a relationship with Jesus can have in our lives today.

It runs in partnership with Church Alive and St John’s & St Peter’s Church, operating out of St John’s & St Peter’s church hall.

Every month on a Thursday evening, 6:45-9:00 pm.

Ladywood Interfaith Educational Project

LIEP is an creative educational project initiated by SJSP Church.

It is a partnership between Buddhists, Christians, Jews, and Muslims in inner-city Birmingham.

It teaches primary and secondary school children about the spirituality and beliefs of each faith by visits to respective places of worship where creative, interactive learning experiences are led by volunteers. Learn more
